The most often asked question of vegetarians and vegans is:  where do you get your protein?   So often, people do not realize that many vegetables, fruits, seeds, grasses, grains, nuts, beans, legumes and other plants contain abundant amounts of protein.

Additionally, plants contain many other nutrients (vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, dietary fiber) that are not found in animal based protein (meat and dairy products), which is typically high in saturated fat and dietary cholesterol.
