Not surprisingly, the foods that made it on the unhealthy, "deadly" list include junk, fast and processed food that is loaded with empty calories, saturated fat, sugar, sodium and refined carbohydrates. These types of foods are strongly associated with not only coronary heart disease, but also with diabetes, obesity, certain cancers and other medical conditions.
Conversely, with the exception of salmon and tuna, all of the other foods on the healthy food list are usually part of a typical, whole-food, plant-based diet: fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains seeds and beans:
