"An apple a day keeps the the doctor away" ... True, indeed!  Apples are rich in important vitamins and minerals, are high in dietary fiber, low in calories, and contain small amounts of polyunsaturated, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (but none of the "bad" fats!).  They are not only one of nature's perfect foods for optimal health, they are also an excellent choice for individuals who are on a diet to lose weight and belly fat.
